If your projector isn't displaying properly, it could be due to the frame rate of the output from your Windows 11 computer. Lowering the frame rate to around 29Hz can often resolve this issue. Follow the steps below to adjust the frame rate.

Step 1 – Open Display Settings

Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings from the menu. This will open the main settings window where you can adjust your display options.

Step 2 – Select Advanced Display

Scroll down the Display settings page and click on Advanced display. This section will allow you to modify the settings for each connected display.

Step 3 – Choose the Projector Display

In the Advanced display settings window, you’ll see a dropdown menu titled Select a display to view or change the settings for it. Choose your projector from this list if it is connected. If you’re not sure which is the projector, try selecting each display until you find the one that says Connected to (followed by your projector’s model or connection).

Step 4 – Change the Refresh Rate

After selecting the projector, you’ll see an option to adjust the Refresh rate. Click on the dropdown menu under Refresh rate and select 29 Hz (or the closest option to 29Hz that’s available).

Step 5 – Confirm the New Setting

Windows will prompt you to confirm the change. Click Keep changes if the display works correctly. If it doesn’t look right, wait for Windows to revert automatically, and then try another nearby refresh rate if available. We would recommend starting as low as possible and working upwards. If the frame rate is set too low, the image will appear to stutter/buffer, then you need to increase the frame rate to a larger number.

Step 6 – Test the Projector Output

After changing the refresh rate, check your projector output. It should now display correctly. If you still experience issues, repeat these steps and try a slightly different frame rate if available, or contact IT Support for further assistance.
