If a student or staff member forgets their password, don’t worry! Just follow these simple steps to get them back on track:
Log Into User Management: Start by accessing the Microsoft 365 admin centre (https://admin.microsoft.com/). Navigate to 'Users' > 'Active users'.
Find the User: On the Active users page, scroll through to locate and select the student or staff member who needs a new password.
Reset the Password: Click on 'Reset password'. You can let the system create a new password automatically or you can choose one yourself. Once decided, click 'Reset' to apply the changes.
Send the New Password: After resetting, enter your email address to receive the newly generated password. You can then pass this information along to the user’s alternative email address, or even better, hand it over personally if you can.
